F É R I A In my field of paper flowers And candy clouds of lullaby

She was born to fly upon wings unbroken by doubt, to soar upon the breeze with all the freedom and carelessness of an eagle. She was destined to dream the endless dreams of a dreamer who knew no bounds to the possibilities of the mind and spirit. If anything she was an enigmatic creature, elegant and whimsical as if written out of the pages of a fable. She was not burdened by the mind of thinker, for she thought on a whim and the turn of the moment. Nor was she built with the bronze of a warrior, for her gentle nature was far too tender for the lust of brutality. Ahh but she had her flaws as everyone does. For though outwardly she appeared the perfect picture of a healthy feminine wolf in the embrace of youth, inwardly her psyche was not so strong. For she lacked in confidence and strength of stability. Her will was as passive and changing as the rushing of the river, and her choices and whims were as flighty as the sparrow. For all this she was a mystery, a fae like creature still bound to the mentality of the young and inexperienced. Oh but she wished for strength and stability, and for the sage knowledge that could only be obtained by experience.
And so it became her objective to set out upon a journey. A path that would lead her into adulthood in ways of the mind. She longed for the structure of the pack to bind her to its will though she knew naught if she could handle such a thing. Her steps was as light and quick as a fox as she wound her way through the orchards of trees that had chased her for weeks. She glided between their shadows and transgressed the low rolling hills and threw herself into the painstaking trails of the mountain chains. Round her paths led, through desolate canyons and through lush valleys whose thickets were dense and overgrown in abundance. Soon she began to recognize the scent markers of a pack boundary and followed them for a distance; stopping every few miles to be sure she was still upon their route. She moved quietly and quickly, stopping to remark upon the growing strength of the markers as they became fresher as she went. When at last she thought she had found the most recent boundary she slowed, pacing to and fro as if arguing a decision within her mind. She stopped then, reclining back onto her haunches and called out in a soft sweet tone to let the wolves here know she meant not to lurk here, but become one with them if they would have her.

Basile's black ears flicked back as he heard the soft call of a loner. He turned immediately, raising his nose to the air. On the light breeze, he could only just tell she was fem. Very little scent blew to him. He turned to Keeya, knowing she'd heard it as well.
Come Keeya, a loner calls to us. Perhaps our markers attracted someone new to join. He nodded to her, his eyes focused where the sound came from. He always became the protective brother when it came to new loners. He nudged her shoulder toward the loner. Just think, now you get to watch someone else be the nervous new-comer, Keeya.
He chuckled as he trot ahead of her. Stay behind me until we make sure she means no harm. With that, he began to run to the call. He stopped an okay distance from the female, feeling his chest swell, and his fur rise slightly. It seemed a built in instinct that he try to look his biggest for any loner. The sun made his black fur glisten in the light and he shook his pelt. Truly, Basile was growing into a lovely brute. His pale green orbs held a distance in them as he observed the loner.
I am Basile, son of Cassiel and Epitaph the Alpha pair of this land. My pack-sister Keeya follows me. What is your name, and what business do you seek in the Kameskai Lands? He watched her, waiting for a response.

Keeya Keeya turned as she noticed the call of a loner. This was the echoing voice of a female, yet another wolf to stumble upon the Kameskai borders. What would be the likelihood of three wolves joining this pack in such a short space of time she wondered to herself. Perhaps this was just what the small group of wolves was wishing for; others to build up their ranks. As Basile ran off to greet the loner, Keeya held her head up with pride. she was one of the newcomers, she would be helping to strengthen the pack. She made a silent pact on the spot to try and do whatever she could to become one with the others, to live and breathe with them and become fully accepted. Turning to chase after Basile and join him in welcoming the other, Keeya remembered the other male, probably still following them. There's no need to be afraid she called out gently Come, follow me and introduce yourself. With this final call, she turned on her heels and ran after Basile. As she approached the two wolves, Keeya slowed her pace and trotted up to stand behind Basile, offering him support if he needed it. Standing in front of the newcomer, he looked strong, yet somewhat intimidating. Keeya remembered back to when he and Aisha had come across her and dipped her head; yes, he'd been that way around her too. The female caught the loner's eyes, and grinned warmly at her.

(You didn't move again did you? lol)
Jaden ceased to hold his breath upon hearing the call from ahead. He had been detected. He had every right to be with them, he well knew, as the Alpha had sent him. Despite this, he had decided to hang back a bit, get to know them from a distance. So much for plan "A"... he sighed softly to himself, padding quickly and noisily to the pair. No... trio. Another wolf with no scent of the Alpha had appeared upon the border. How lucky I male I am, he smirked under his breath That I should appear amidst all these new recruits, and females at that...
Greetings, he told the group with a dip of his head. He moved himself to stand beside the femme, Keeya. I believe I failed to introduce myself at our previous meeting. I am Jaden, his tone, even at a whisper, was one that could coax a hare into his jaws. His warm yellow eyes met briefly with hers, just long enough for her to read good intentions without him sending a challenge. Many loners about today, aren't there? He chuckled to Keeya, nudging her gently with his shoulder. We long-time pack members will have to stick together, won't we? he joked.

Keeya Keeya flinched as the second male nudged her shoulder. She whipped her head around to face him. Seeing the joking look in his eyes, accompanied by his ridiculous words, infuriated her. The young wolf immediately became overcome with competitiveness. Was he challenging me.. suggesting something? Her fur bristled and she growled gently, low enough that none of the others would hear. This male, she decided then and there, would be nothing but trouble for her. The agile young female was one who would always spring to a challenge, and was not one who took joking lightly. Realising that aggressiveness would not be wise on her part, Keeya lowered her ears against her skull and glared at the male. Jaden. He was smooth, that was certain, and glancing at him proved that he was an exceptionally handsome specimen. If it weren't for the joking she might... She shook her head, distracted from the present. I'm Keeya she said, allowing warmth to enter her tone, for the benefit of the other female standing by. She raised her head to look at Basile. Should we take this loner to Cassiel?

Basile raised a brow as Jaden approached. He did not doubt the brute's words. He had seen him at the meeting, and he smelled of Father. He shook his head, not understanding how any wolf could be so loose around any loner. He returned Jaden's nod however, and watched him approach Keeya. He returned his gaze to the female, noting she had been silent the entire time. He had no time to waste on loners who'd lost their tongues. He glanced to Keeya as a scent of tension rose in the air. His green orbs studied her and Jaden. He eyes slid to Jaden with a soft snort. The male was drenched in hormones. He was not an unsightly beast, and Basile knew that he was well aware of it. Basile himself was not a bad looking creature, in fact quite the opposite, but he'd actually never had a chance to think about females before. All had either been his family, or, well, Luma. He considered this, puzzled by the realization before mentally shaking himself. Save your flirting for when we're deeper in our own territory. He directed it at Jaden. The black brute was all business when a loner was concerned. Hearing Keeya's question, he turned to look at her. I believe Father had something to attend to. Once again the silent loner was regarded with pale green orbs. If she wishes to join our clan she will be accepted as you were Keeya. Partially, until Father says otherwise. Do you wish to join us? His tone was demanding. They still had a nice amount of border area to mark and they were now stuck stationary.

F É R I A In my field of paper flowers And candy clouds of lullaby
The angst of waiting alone upon the outskirts of a foreign terrain was nearly overwhelming. Both mind and heart chased countless circles around one another, sometimes in conflict, other times in agreement, both however, spoke of a wary nervousness that showed clearly in her fidgeting form. The wait was not lengthy though, in fact it was only a short time later that the winds sultry breath hinted upon the approaching wolves who clearly bore the scent of this land. She stilled, muscles rippling beneath her creamy coat, her breath became shallow and her heart beat a steady rhythm which strummed loudly in her ears. She nearly held her breath with each progressing step they took nearer to her, yet in the end decided to stand firmly awaiting them though her posture spoke sincerely of submission.
First two approached, and soon a third ambled upon them, the latter’s demeanor clearly not that of the other two and the tension in the air spoke of such. Her eyes darted quickly between the trio, and her silence went unnoticed for moments on end as she considered the awkward predicament before shaking herself of such ill manners.
“I am sorry … I think my nervousness has gotten the better of me. My name is Feria and I come from lands far off in search of a home. “

Basile's banner twitched as the femme spoke. He was happy she'd finally found her voice. No worries, Feria. His tone was no longer demanding, it had switched back to the kind, leader-like tone. We simply were marking borders, and still had some land to cover. His pale orbs shone with a pleased light. Not only could they continue Father's orders, but the Kameskai was increasing it's numbers. He wondered about mating season, and glanced at the new members. Who would choose who as a mate? He took a step forward and rubbed his scent unto Feria's. When my Father returns, he will pass final judgment on you. I doubt he'd refuse you. He offered a kind smile to Feria. Keeya, Jaden, you may both share scents with Feria if you wish. He took a few steps away from Feria, toward the Kameskai lands and raised his muzzle, scenting for Luma and Aisha. Very faint scents came to his muzzle, but they would be traveling toward them soon. Maybe they'd meet up. He could ask Luma for judgment on Feria. Though Cassiel would always have the last word, Basile knew Luma was trusted as well. He remember the night he'd spent with her in her cave. Her unexplained sadness. That had been a little bit ago. Thankfully, she was better now. He pulled himself out of his thoughts and looked to the others. When everyone is ready we will continue on our way. His orbs went to Keeya, finding her silence strange. He supposed it was either from Jaden, or just that new wolves were around. Alright there, Keeya?

Keeya Lost in her thoughts of pack dynamics and loners, Keeya didn't realise how she had drifted out of the conversation till Basile asked if she was alright. The female dipped her head slightly in reply to his question. She raised a brow at the dark male's sudden warmth, but remembered how he had been the same with her. He was just trying to make an impression. Shaking her pelt to dismiss a sudden, sharp chill in the wind, she stepped forward and rubbed herself against the other female, transferring her scent. Breathing in the crisp air, she pondered how much nicer it was to be on the giving end of things. Jaden hadn't spoken for a while either, and for this, the female was glad. She was almost certain that anything he'd say she would want to challenge. Keeya realised suddenly that she wanted to be dominant over him. Feria was too quiet to be a threat, and Basile was far too strong and leaderly, but she'd have to watch this other male. Keeya snorted, dust escaping her nose. Her legs itched and she longed to be on the move again. Basile, may we get going again?

(OOC: Aisha's New Banner. Trying it out instead of Luma's or Basile's. Sorry it's so long. Combined post. Luma, Basile and Aisha.) Basile turned to speak to Keeya, smiling softly. Soon enough. Let them get introduced if they so wish. He jerked his head in motion indicating that she should walk to his side. When he turned his pale green orbs upon the horizon the smell of Luma and Aisha. His banner picked up when he noticed the smell increasing on the breeze. When he'd first scented for them they must have already been headed toward him, for now they smelled much closer. He raised his muzzle and issued a soft howl. Minutes passed as Luma and Aisha raced side-by-side toward Basile and the others. Luma's yellow orbs glanced at the younger female with pride. The young fem was adapting to the running, and she kept pace with Luma. Long pillars pushing them along the mountain terrain, they were Kameskai. Finally the pair reached Basile. Luma slowed a distance away, but Aisha, in common Aisha style continued, plowing straight into Basile, only trying to stop at the end. Basile, eyes widening at her advance quickly side-stepped. She skid and almost barreled into Jaden. She glanced at him, a laugh on her face and in her brown orbs. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to almost hit you. She said, panting. Basile shook his head at Aisha and smiled with a soft chuckle. He turned back to Luma. Have you seen Father, Luma? We have another addition to our Clan. Feria. He gestured to the fem. Feria, this is Luma, our beta, and my sister Aisha. Aisha turned her eyes from Jaden. She'd noticed he was quite good looking. He was built well, and Aisha found her eyes straying to him. She was not used to a male who was unattached to her, she hadn't had Basile realization. All males had been related to her. This new male presented something she'd never thought of. Family. Of her own. She walked toward the loner and brushed scents. Welcome Packsister. You have a lovely name.Luma looked around the group. She remembered Jaden from the meeting and gave him a brief nod. She raised a brow at the looks Aisha tried to secretly shoot at him. A soft smile graced the beta's muzzle. Hmm. Young Love. How sweet and dangerous a first crush is. Her orbs held memories of happy times, and she felt her smile fade to something melancholy. She had no pups to show for her life, no mate. She was very proud of her beta position, true. Still, it was not the warmth of a trusted male at her side, nor was it the movement of life within her belly. She shook her head, looking to Basile, hearing his question after a second. I'm sorry, Basile. I've not seen Cassiel, or any other of our pack for that matter, since the meeting. Feria, Her orbs looked to the fem and she too went forward to give her scent. I'm sure Cassiel will accept you. We seem to have more females now. That’s a pleasant surprise. When Luma paused before her answer, Basile had followed her orbs. He found himself not liking the looks Aisha gave Jaden. He felt his lip twitch, threatening to expose a pearly white fang. He held back his protective nature, and gave a snort. He didn't not approve of Aisha having a fascination with any male, least of all Jaden. He talked too smoothly, Aisha had no way to combat that. Basile's tail twitched irritably and he glanced back to Luma. I said the same, we were about to continue marking the borders. Perhaps you and Aisha should continue searching the pack lands. His eagerness for seeing them had faded fast with the looks Aisha kept sneaking at Jaden. Luma smiled at the gathered wolves. Truly pleased at the growing of the Kameskai. Cassiel, my friend, you have a happy homecoming headed your way. She thought with another grin. It was at this moment that the scent of her leader reached her muzzle. Her banner rose happily, and then, it froze. His scent carried the taint of saddness. Her brows furrowed and she turned her eyes toward Basile. No. We have checked enough. We have called. If they are still in these lands, they will come. Yellow orbs looked to the young fem. Aisha, you stay with Basile and this group. She turned back to Basile, who looked puzzled. Your Father is back, and...I feel he and I should talk alone. We will find you. You are in charge Basile. And Aisha, Once again her attention diverted to the copy of her Alpha, only female. Behave, young one. With that, she dissapeared in search of her Alpha as quickly as she'd come.

Jaden nodded, acknowledging Aisha's apology. He was pleased by the appearance of her and the Beta, as it eased the tension he had incidentally caused. I'm more out of touch with pack ways than I has assumed... He thought, cursing himself for making such a poor impression on at least two, possibly three of his new packmates. He knew he could probably win their approval eventually, but it would take more time than he had hoped. He would have to do more observing, also, so that he could further his understanding of pack culture and not offend and other possible allies.
Greetings, Feria, Jaden rubbed his side against that of the new female, just as Keeya had done. Although he had forgotten many aspects of pack life, this greeting ritual was something he remembered.
Returning to his former location, Jaden could feel Aisha's lovely, glinting orbs upon him. Despite his knowledge of this, he chose to pay Basile and Luma his attention for a brief moment longer, allowing her to look as she pleased, pretending not to notice her glances. Basile had also Clary noticed. Jaden could practically smell his displeasure. He had already gotten off on the wrong paw with Basile, and had no desire to further botch Basile's opinion of him.
I'll bring him gifts of some sort, perhaps... he thought to himself, hoping what he planned to do next wouldn't strain the relationship further. sensing Aisha turn to gaze at him again, he turned and this time returned her glance with a warm and gentle canine smile. She was a rather pretty creature, with her ivory coat and sparkling eyes, but Jaden had reasons of much more consequence for attempting to woo her. He father was, after all, the Alpha. If he could charm Cassiel's beloved daughter, her father would possibly follow suit.

Keeya Keeya trotted over to Basile’s side and with a half-hearted yawn, stretched her legs and lay down. Idly nosing through the fallen leaves at her feet, she pricked her ears to listen to what was going on. Aisha and Luma had reappeared, then after a short greeting of the newcomer, Feria, the beta had raced off again. She must be going to find Cassiel. Lifting her head from the pile of leaves she had gathered, Keeya eyed Aisha and Jaden suspiciously. The frisky young female had obviously fallen for him already. Keeya stretched her forepaws out in front of her, then heavily flopped her head onto them. She’d noticed a slight change in Basile too, of course, he was protecting his sister from Jaden, but she couldn’t help wondering if he was thinking of something while he did so. Keeya shook her pelt. There was a chill in the air, and it was getting sharper all the time. Soon it would be the season for hunting, and for… she raised a brow, trying to remember what else it was that her mother had said winter was for.

Basile's pale green orbs turned from Jaden and to Keeya. She stretched out beside him, playing with a pile of leave with her nose. He snorted to himself and watched her get lost in thought. Her face held a confused look, as if what she was thinking of just escaped her mind. He found she looked kind of cute this way, but different then Aisha looked cute. He was puzzled again. He shook his head, and while Keeya still looked confused he lifted his front paw and kicked it through her leaves so that they flew up in her face. He chuckled a little, smiling to let her know he was kidding. Alright then. Let's continue the boarders. Perhaps we'll have a hunt if we're done soon enough. He nodded to the others, his eyes landing hard on Jaden with a look that didn't very well hide that Basile had his eye on him. He then turned and began his trot forward, trusting Keeya would be by his side. Aisha watched as Luma ran off, and she realized a moment later that Father had probably returned. Behave, she said. Why wouldn't I behave? She turned her brown orbs back to Jaden, who gave her a smile that made her belly twirl, and her fur prickle in a pleasant way. She returned the smile and walked toward Jaden once Basile had turned his back. I'm Aisha. She mumbled from his side. I don't believe you've given your name yet. Seeing Basile get further ahead of her, she nudged Jaden behind the ear, her body tense at her daring. She then walked ahead of him at a slow gait. Her body language clearly begged him to walk beside her. Aisha was very nearly smitten by this male, and she'd barely spoken to him.

Keeya Keeya sneezed as dust from the bracken entered her nostrils. She leapt to her feet and swatted Basile playfully. Her energy restored by the prospect of a hunt, a chance to show herself, she ran ahead of Aisha and Jaden to join the dark male at his side. As the breeze rustled her fur, she began to think of the cold days ahead of them. Winter was the wolf's season, the time for hunting and fattening themselves up, though she was awash with relief that she didn't have to spend this one alone. Her blue eyes, though now finally looking somewhat murkier, in a state of transformation, gazed upon the strong male at her side. With a snort that could only be described as laughter, she realised something about him and his younger sister. Basile, you'll stick out like a sore paw during winter. Prey'll be able to see you from miles away , she then glanced across her shoulder at Aisha and the other male Aisha'll be invisible. Half the time you won't be able to see where she is. She furrowed her brow, wondering if this could perhaps be used too much to Aisha's advantage... Keeya didn't understand the looks that the pretty young wolf was thrusting in the direction of the male, but she was nearly certain that they meant trouble.

Aisha... Aisha, Aisha, Aisha... What a pretty name it was. It had the same lovely sound as "deer" or "hare," only it tasted sweeter on the tongue. Aisha... he murmered the name under his breath. It tasted of life, vigor, and sucsess. The gesture of her playfull nudge felt even sweeter, like certain victory. For a moment, though, he hung back. Basile would certainly not be happy to seem him return so daring a gesture,or even respond to one. Then again, what could he do? Tell the pack that Aisha was in love with the newcomer, like some jealous pup? Or would he openly tell Jaden not to socialize with a packmate? Either situation would cast Basile in a poor light.
All possible outcomes considered, he trotted up to the pale femme's side. I haven't? he asked, painting a slightly confused look on his face, a if trying to recall if he had or not. He paused a moment, to let the female decide whether he had failed to say his name or if she had forgotten it. He hoped she figured the later. Wolves tended to be more easily flattered in a state of embarassment. He adjusted his gate to hers, his long legs moving with slightly more dramatic grace than was necessary. He shook his head. It's of little consequence, he said warmly. I am Jaden, he told her. His voice was rich and full as he said his second favorite word, "Jaden."
Jaden, Jaden, Jaden... He thought it was a rather handsome name, very much like "king" or "Alpha," only smoother on the tongue. Although he very much liked his name, he did like the word "power" just a tad better. If only he could make them mean the same...
