The Akeldama is a barren land, some say made this way by the horrible history of the place. The territory is open and flat with few dips or ridges, and the earth becomes more and more desert like with every passing year. Far to the east one might catch a glimpse of the southern mountains on a good, clear day, but more often than not the scenery is bleak. Few come here. The only redeeming quality of the land is the network of underground tunnels, created by a river many, many years ago.
