[thought it was best to move their thread so we could have some privacy, lol]
Beryl hardly glanced up to acknowledge the new wolves, but she did note that one had stared at her longer than was necessary. She turned at this, a snarl plastered on her dark face, leave off clearing running across her otherwise pretty features.
Once she had settled that matter, in her own mind at least, the fem turned her attention back to Jaden and Aisha, noting that her sister placed her white self squarely between Beryl and the brute. Her bright green eyes glittered, but she didn't comment or attempt to rearrange the party. Her paws instead fell into step beside her littermate's, keeping pace and only glancing sideway to the others when something else hadn't caught the young huntresses attention.

The brown brute trotted beside the duo, noting with a smirk Aisha's place. He was silent for a moment or so, leading out of the camp. He carefully surveyed Beryl as she moved next to her sister. Side by side, they looked like night and day even more so. Beryl had a distinct scent about her, not wholly Kameskai, not at all loner. The dark femme smelled more like herself than the rest of the pack. She has been alone for awhile, then. He thought to himself, tucking it away for a rainy day when the information was needed.
The air was crisp, the leaves nearly all fallen. The air sung of winter, the season echoing through his being. What was he to do about that? Aisha was a pretty little thing, and her relationship with the Alpha supreme. Yet, now, there was a different variable in the mix than when he had first joined the pack. Beryl was equally as lovely as Aisha, equally as important to the Alpha. She was sharper, too, and seemed less drawn in by his charm. In his eyes, she was a challenge and a mystery. Yet, if he were to begin turning his attentions toward the black femme, Aisha would be hurt and jealous. Although this would have been a trivial matter had the white femme been a loner, she was not. She had a pack, and the pack would care and share in her feelings, as would her sister...
He leapt himself back into the present, remembering his original and sane plan. He looked over to Aisha's rippling fur, imagining how it would appear against the frozen world as winter came into bloom. Now, against the brown melancholy marking the start of the season, her life and vigor looked out of place, lonely. He almost wanted to press his pelt against hers, comfort even the hue of her fur, yet restrained himself. What's gotten into you, Jaden? He asked himself, making the prudent decision to conjure up small talk.
A good hunt, was it not? He asked mindlessly. It had been the perfect question; It had no real meaning, nothing threatening nor provocative to be taken from it. Pointless banter was always a good ting in a group.

Aisha trot along side Jaden and Beryl happily. Her earlier disappointment and anger at Beryl's choosing to come along was about forgotten. Aisha was forgiving, mostly because she usually forgot the wrong-doing when something else caught her attention. She glanced at Jaden from the corner of her eye, and saw him looking over her form. She felt the familiar butterfly feeling in her stomach and couldn't help but smile. Her ears perked at the sound of Jaden's velvety, smooth, beautiful voice and she nodded her head. Yes, I agree. You're a wonderful hunter Jaden, and Beryl it was rather brave of you to leap into the animal like that...I'm sorry you got hurt. She frowned and eyed her sister's head, reaching over to touch a nose to her cheek.

Beryl wasn't sure Aisha had Jaden well plotted out. The dark wolf eyed Jaden as he glanced over at her, and feeling his orbs on her fur made her nape hairs begin to bristle again. She pressed them down with a mental exercise she had practiced as a loner and half lidded her eyes. She watched covertly as he also eyed Aisha, and he seemed to make a decision about something... then he was speaking, and whatever was going on through the brute's mind was effectively masked from her prodding green eyes.
She had a feeling that Aisha had missed part of Jaden's looking, but the fem wasn't going to hurt her sister by saying so. She also flinched away from the white she-wolf when Aisha reached over to touch her still sore head, but Beryl made herself keep steady. Only a flicker in her eyes betrayed her emotion, her sense of withdraw. It was nothing. I've had worse wounds out hunting alone. She didn't mention that none of them had been to her head. She wasn't going to brag, but she wasn't going to degrade herself in front of the male, either.

R a e l i k It's a slow fade when you give yourself away… It's a slow fade, when black and white have turned to gray… Raelik was confused on what to do. He did not want to stay and be idle with everyone, so he decided to walk off in the direction of the group that had wandered off--the group with that intruiging femme in it.
He kept himself distanced, not able to hear their conversation at all. His position was friendly, non-threatening in every possible way. If he was chased away, then so be it, but he wanted to be able to at least learn what it was like to talk with others without hostility. Raelik wanted to learn about these other wolves, what they did, how they grew in ranks. He knew he'd sound like an idiot, but sometimes that was the price of gaining knowledge.
The distance between them closed slightly, but not enough for him to encroach on a single word. His eyes mainly stood on the male, wondering if he would be anything like the ones back home. You never, ever, trust them, if the one over in the forest wasn't example enough. Shrugging it off, and making sure not to make his shoulder work too hard, Raelik continued slowly narrowing the distance, hopefully finding acceptance into the little group.

The dark colored fem noticed, finally, that they were being followed. She paused her stride and glanced over her shoulder, looking to see who was after them since the wind was blowing away the scent. Her eyes narrowed on the newcomer's form, the one that had given her the over-long look. She had already made it clear she didn't want him to bother her, but she couldn't speak for the others. No doubt Aisha would be happy happy again and gladly bring him into their little group.
But then she might try to leave the brute with me and slip off with Jaden. I don't think so, she thought to herself, keeping them hidden. Beryl swished her tassel and caught back up to the other two, not inviting the new male to join them or snarling to make him leave. He could do as he liked; her father had accepted him, after all.

From the corner of her eye, Aisha saw Beryl turn and look behind them. She saw something flash through her orbs as she turned around and continued forward. Puzzled, the sister glanced behind the group too. The new brute was wandering after them, all alone. She felt a frown form on her maw, not because he followed, but because he was alone. Her previous plans about being alone with Jaden had already been ruined, so what's one more to the little group. She turned quickly, pressing her nose to Jaden's shoulder to grab his attention. She then spun back around to the male and called out happily to him. Hello there! Why are you following us so far back? Why not come up into our group? She felt a slight bit of bitterness at Jaden easily accepting Beryl, and she trot forward. Aisha's mind was a strange thing. To all appearances it seemed like a child's. She was easily distracted and amused. She was happy and giddy over the smallest things. It was not a act, for even the best wolf at playing a part would grow bored and irritated at such a...tiring...role. That was truly Aisha's nature. It was not forced or fake...it merely was. Yet behind this nature lay something deeper. She knew about romances and jealousy. She knew there were bad things in the world, and that nothing was all bright and daisies all the time. However, she also knew it was easy for her to find her own daisies. So now she trot forward, smiling sweetly at this new wolf, for she was truly interested in his story. Not only that...but...she was ready to lavish some attention on someone else. She believed Jaden a sweet male, and she knew that like all brutes he wouldn't like another's scent on his lands. Another brute flirting with his interest. Her brown orbs were full of warmth as she approached the male, and that warm soon changed to concern as she saw his injury. Oh dear! What happened to you...I'm sorry I don't know your name! I'm Aisha! Who're you? How did you get wounded, friend? Does it hurt you at all? We just brought down a Caribou, if you think some food would help you feel better.
Oh...you poor thing. I suppose I should Welcome you, though, it must be a bad welcome with a wound like that. Her maw moved near a mile a minute as her desire to make Jaden jealous was thrust from her mind at the brute's injury. The fawning she did over him now, her orbs large and practically dripping concern, was real. Perhaps Aisha was not meant to be a schemer.

R a e l i k It's a slow fade when you give yourself away… It's a slow fade, when black and white have turned to gray… Raelik witheld a smirk on his maw at the green-eyed fem's reaction. He knew she'd more than likely be miffed, but for some reason she did not respond vocally to him as he had thought she would. Either way, that only made things more interesting for him.
Then, perhaps the lightest of them all, walked towards him with overflowing kindness in her eyes. Raelik had to fight his hackles, for they wanted to rise at such a strange sight. No wolf would have done that in his other clan, and he was weirded out by it. He instantly reminded himself that he was not in that cage anymore, and attempted to take the wolfess' words with a smile.
Thank you for your concern, but I am fine. I am Raelik, I was only accepted moments ago. He rumbled softly, dipping his head out of courtesy. When his shoulder was mentioned, he attempted to turn his head to see it, but his bulk and growing winter fur wouldn't let him glimpse too much of it. It's alright. I have had injuries worse than that before. I obtained it from a wolf over in the forest where the other wolves are. A brute came flying from it and attacked me. That was it in a nutshell, anyway.
Raelik glanced past Aisha for a second, seeing the others ahead of them. Aisha, who are your friends? It was the only other thing he'd say, expecting a flurry of more words to be thrown at him. It wasn't that he minded the fae talking to him, it was just that it was a new experience being set on his plate and he was expected to eat it in record time. His banner twitched back and forth behind him; he was enjoying himself.

Aisha's ears folded back at the story of the brute attacking. How horrible! For no reason at all? She shook her head in disbelief. You have a nice name Raelik. Shall I call you Rae? Oh! How rude of me! Come up here and walk with us. She turned, allowing her tail to brush his leg unconsiously. She walked back up to Jaden's side and turned to face Raelik again. Rae, this is Jaden, She had chosen her own answer for calling him Rae, and continued as if it were nothing. Jaden this is Raelik he just joined the clan.
My sister's name is Beryl,. Beryl, Rae. Rae, Beryl. She smiled to her sister, hoping Beryl would take interest in this new male and not following Jaden. We were just taking a walk around the lands. Jaden hasn't seen much of them, like you.
I'm sure the others wouldn't mind you joining us. I'd love to have your company, Rae. Please say you'll walk with us? Her brown orbs held a pup-like hopefulness as she blinked them pleadingly at Raelik. Pretty Please?

Beryl, had she eyebrows, would have lost them into her forelock at her sister's antics. She huffed irately when the pretty white fem turned back, bubbly and happy, to greet the other new male. The acidic green eyes then, behind her loving sibling's back, sought Jaden's to see his reaction, interested in the response. Is this what you want? her gaze seemed to ask, mocking him in humorless laughter. Their depths were blank, though, after her question.
She shifted aside when Aisha returned, attempting to bring the brute back with her into the group. Beryl's hackles bristled, laid flat, and bristled again under Raelik's gaze. I know you now, she thought, seeing him and the wounds on his shoulder, as a fighter. Perhaps more. Her head turned away, disinterested, much different she assumed than Aisha's hopes.

The brown brute's head raised slightly at seeing the new brute approach, turning to look as Aisha addressed him. Jaden fought to keep fur from bristling along his spine as she fussed over this new male's injuries. He moved closer to the two now conversing wolves, keeping his expression that of warmth and composure. His legs were tense, watching this new male... this-this intruder, talking with his Aisha. How dare he! How dare she? He watched their eyes, after all, eyes said so much, taking some small comfort that Aisha's bore nothing but concern, and this Raelik's were mostly just confused. He glanced nervously toward Beryl, narrowly missing her acidic question, seeing only the empty blankness that seemed to be there most often.
Calm down, boy. he told himself, his careful planning fighting his instinct to be hostile toward this new competition. No, not competition. There was no such thing, at least not this time around. She'll come back to you. They always do. She'll be loy- Her tail brushed his leg. How dare they! Had not Aisha made her interest in Jaden clear? Now she was doing this? Calm yourself his logical self murmured. His instincts drew his lip up over his teeth, but only for a fraction of a second. Stop it.
As the white femme returned to his side, his muscles finally released all tension. See?
He gently pressed his fur against hers, lightly dusted with snow. That had been close. Much too close for his liking. Had he forgotten the season? Had he forgotten that he was not the only male in search of a mate? There were many new brutes joining the pack, and sooner or later, he would not have so many pretty little females to choose from. The pair could not be fully blamed, and he certainly couldn't snarl at any male conversing with Aisha.
A pleasure to meet you, packbrother Jaden's eyes smiled with a bright, welcoming light. His tail was held slightly above Raelik's, showing that he had slightly higher standing, due to being in the pack longer. His loosely held shoulders told him that he meant no harm, but his close proximity to Aisha displayed that sniffing around her would not be appreciated. I am sorry to see your state, Raelik. Life as a loner is a harsh one. He dipped his head slightly, offering friendship in a shared past.
But now, I am very much pleased to be where I am He told Aisha alone, brushing his tail against her flank. He avoided glancing at Beryl, he couldn't let her interfere with his thinking. Aisha was the most logical one to court after all, was she not? He had known her since the day he joined the pack... he had courted her, was still courting her, now. She was perfect for what he needed. Trusting, loyal, on exceptional ground with Cassiel, and obviously much more friendly toward him than Beryl. And even more pleased with who is with me. His melting-butter eyes looked into hers, just for a moment, before returning his attention back to the group as a whole.

Aisha felt Jaden lean toward her the moment she reached his side again. She let her brown pools glance over to him, managing to meet his orbs as they looked to her. She felt something stir inside her, like the butterfly feeling, but different. Deeper. A breeze snaked it's way through her fur and she shivered as a cold chill shot up her spine. Jaden broke the gaze, and Aisha puzzled over this feeling. She looked to Beryl in confusion. What was the feeling? She did not ask her sister, why she wasn't sure. She turned her gaze back to the loner, confusion settling on her shoulders like the dust of snow. How was Aisha to know the desire for a mate? The feeling that the cold drove from the bones and the blood of the wolves. The longing for a family and pups for females and males and the need to protect, and fight for who you wished to be yours. The strong, near blood-lust craze that settled on brutes and fem's alike. How was she to know the strength of the feeling the season brought? This was her first mating season, and with no Epitaph to explain the feelings of the season to her she was lost. Perhaps Luma could explain, but she wouldn't dream of leaving Jaden's side, even for that short amount of time. She knew what mating was, and what a mate was, though from instinct or from Epi, she was not sure. She knew where pups came from, and she couldn't help but wonder if perhaps her pups would bear the charming smile of a certain brute to herself at times. She remembered mention of the winter season being for finding mates, and she decided that is where the feeling surfaced from. She shook herself back to the conversation, glancing around the three, seeing if she'd missed much, or any, conversation.

R a e l i k It's a slow fade when you give yourself away… It's a slow fade, when black and white have turned to gray… A brow raised as the femme practically begged him to join them. It was his intent from the start, so her asking as she was wasn't necessary. Sure, I'll join you. His eyes trailed to the other brute, Jaden. His eyes smirked for a moment when he saw the tenseness in his pillars. He felt something for this fae, obviously. Raelik, however, felt no pull toward such a strangely bouncey fae.
His forehead might have raised at the other brute's tail, that smirk in his eyes translating to his face. His father had been in this clan, so if he had still been here, he would have been greater. But, since his old clan taught him blood meant nothing, he passed it off. I was never a loner as you know the definition. Raelik calmed himself, knowing his shoulder would bring him fault if he put himself in the wrong position. He, perhaps rudely, did not reply to Jaden's polite welcome. Raelik's eyes did not fall soft on this brute. I will not ruin your chance at love. Do not worry.
The black fae, however, was still of interest. Beryl, her name was? He made no attempt to greet her, as he expected she would not have accepted it. His speckled orbs gave a friendly glance to her, but that was all. He wasn't going to push his luck... not yet.
Lastly, his cloud and sunshine orbs turned back to the one who had invited him over. So, then, where are we going first? I have never seen such mounds of earth before. Where I am from, it was only dark. Raelik confessed, wondering if the others would find him odd. He was odd enough, walking into a clan injured after being injured by another clan wolf. His crania was tilted interestedly, awaiting speech from any of the group. Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid… People never crumble in a day…

Beryl, for her part, remained quiet as she watched with interest the others interacting. She both saw and sensed Jaden's initial displeasure toward Raelik and Aisha, how they spoke through words and the silence language. Had she been the kind to laugh, it would have burbled from her then, but the dark fem held back the emotion and instead simply allowed a little more light to enter into her bright eyes as they rested on Jaden's struggle to keep his emotion to himself. He seemed pleasant enough toward the newcomer, and for some reason his dislike of Raelik made her attitude tinge a bit, adjust according to the circumstances. Her hackles laid flat, completely, as she looked at Rae in a new light. Tormentor, unbeknownst. The spark in her eyes flared up. This could be fun.
She then glanced to her sister, feeling some form of confusion coming off the white she-wolf in waves. The breeze hit her fur, ruffling it with a chill, and Beryl realized that it was indeed winter, and thus, mating season. If it wasn't already here, it was just around the corner. She hadn't felt the call yet, so she assumed her time to be in heat would be coming, soon. Perhaps it would be better to get away from the males for a bit, keep her distance and her sanity for a few days on her own. However, as her orbs once more looked upon Aisha, Beryl realized just how close she was to Jaden, and it made her brow draw together. So then, they will mate this season, it appears. The black wolf turned away from the group, trotting off a few feet while she considered her options. She could leave now and let them have at it with Rae as an awkward witness, or she could stay and herself become an awkward witness.
The fem shuddered inwardly. Decidedly not. She turned her head back toward the others, speaking aloud this time. Well, it's winter, after all. They knew it, too... way to state the obvious. But her demeanor didn't beg for humor from them, only... perhaps it was acceptance. Know what you're getting yourselves into, for it certainly shall be hard to get back out of. She looked directly at Aisha first, willing her sister to consider the consequences of such actions. Then she looked to Jaden, asking once more if this was his choice... or had it already been made? She exhaled, ignoring Raelik, and began to pad away from them, letting them assume what they would of her departure.

Aisha saw her sister's silent words, and they only succeeded in confusing her further. Why would she wish to leave Jaden? She watched as Beryl left, shaking her head. How rude. She thought, before glancing back over to Jaden. Raelik's question still hung unanswered, and she turned her attention back to that. There are many cliffs that have beautiful views over the Mountain Land. I could take you both to one, the sun will be setting soon. We could watch the moon wake and grow large from there.
There are also plenty of valleys with nice streams, ample spots for hunting. There are also the Mountains themselves. We could head toward them. I can assure you, they are tiny compared to how big they are when you stand at their base... She lost herself thinking about the Mountains that reached to the sky. She brought herself back with a shake of her head. Where would you two like to go? Or is there somewhere else you'd like to go then I've said? She glanced from Jaden to Rae, a serene smile playing on her face. She loved the attention she was getting.
