Aisha's white auds did not detect Luma's call. She was far too deep into labor and still she had no Jaden at her side. Tears came to her brown orbs at the pain. She'd never delivered before and for some odd reason her pups seemed to be fighting to stay inside her warm womb. She pant, her jaw clenched and eyes wide. She clawed at the ground, and her mind screamed for the comfort of her mate. When the first pup finally emerged she was whining, tears dripping down her cheeks. At the sight of the small body she began to clean the tiny blessing. She gained some strength at seeing that her efforts were not in vain. She nuzzled the dear small body, and noted that it was male. His tiny whimpers made her teary face smile, and she nosed him to her side. He looked to have her fur and it made her proud. Lucian shall be your name, my love. Remember it, for it is my gift to you. She gave him an affectionate lick and then the pain seized her again. The second birth was shorter, but still very tiring. She fought harder, eager to meet her next child and perhaps the one after that, if there was. Another tiny body emerged and she cleaned fur that was very similar to her absent mates. She felt another pull at her heart as she wondered where he'd gone to. Then she shoved the thought away forcefully and returned to her newest pup. This one was a daughter, and Aisha smiled. She let the female join her brother in his suckling and leaned down to whisper in her ear. Your gift, my second born, will Rose. Briar Rose. Remember it, and be proud. She felt no more of the painful contractions, and knew that a male and female would be her litter. Part of her sighed heavily with relief, but another part wished their had been more. All parts, however adored the fluffy pups, and with their content suckling cries in her ears she half-dozed. She wondered, half-conscious if someone would bring her food. That thought was wiped away as sleep claimed her weary form.

Ah, the duties of a sister. Regardless of how silly or ridiculous, at times, one of the two could be, it was the honor of the other to make certain all things needed were met, all things wanted were given - as much as possible. So Beryl padded along in the mountain clan's territory with a rather large piece of meat hanging from her ebony muzzle.
She found the waterfall where Luma's den was and only briefly nodded to Cass and his mate, for she doubted they wanted company, and she was more worried about Aisha than Luma. The scene didn't impress her, and even though the water splashed down the ravine in handsome show, it didn't improve her ill tempered mood.
The fem wanted nothing more than to go off in search of their mother, but as time passed she realized that Epitaph was more than likely completely gone now. There was little hope of ever even coming across a trace of her scent, and it saddened her, though she would never admit it to anyone. She'd made her choice already, and she would stick behind it.
So she came to Aisha's den in a foul mood, but standing outside she realized that Jaden's scented was distinctly… missing. Her ears laid back upon her head in disgust, and she picked her way across the ground between herself and the dark burrow with light paws.
Aisha, she growled, poking her nose into the entrance and letting the scent of the meat flow across the air. I've brought food… She didn't want to ask about the cubs, didn't really want to see the cubs, but for the sake of being a decent sibling she rumbled, How many?

Aisha lay in the dark as the time pass. She was exceedingly bored, but did not wish to leave the lovely jewels at her side. Suddenly the sound of paw upon ground broke through the constant slosh of the near-by stream. Her ears pricked in hope. One name hanging on the tip of her tongue. The smell of meat assaulted her hungry belly and she heard it growl. She gave an uneasy growl as the intruder had stuck their head in. A familiar smell came to her over the meat and her banner thumped against the den wall. It wasn't Jaden, but it would do. She gently extract herself from her two pups and lift one by the scruff. She did not say a word to her sister, too intent was she on bringing them closer for her to see. Once both were moved into the ray of light, Aisha smiled proudly at her sister. Two, Beryl. Aren't they lovely? You're an aunt, you know. She refrained from trying to nuzzle her sister because of the chunk of meat in her mouth. She did eye the beautifully smelling piece for a moment before reaching forward and taking it from her darker hued sibling. I've named them Lucien and Briar Rose. I'll probably just call her Rose though. Aisha looked fondly upon her two offspring. Beryl's scent shone irritation and a slight touch of sadness, so Beryl knew she wasn't really in the mood for joyful things. She hoped, perhaps, that the sight of her niece and nephew it would make her happy. Aisha set to the chunk slowly, watching Beryl for a reaction.

The dark wolfess heard her sister's growl, and she hesitated for a moment before Aisha's form began to move. She took a half step back when the two squirming little cubs were brought forward, and her muzzle lowered once her sibling had taken the meat from her.
She licked her jowls first to clear away the blood, and then her thin ebony muzzle reached forth to lay first upon Lucien, and then upon Briar Rose. What pretty names, and lovely cubs. Against her more snippy nature, she felt herself warming up to the little bodies.
Thoughts of her own cubhood swirled through her mind, and she remembered vaguely the day she'd first emerged from the den under Cassiel and Epitaph's watchful eyes. She'd met Basile, among others, and had been warmly welcomed into the world by both parents, and clan.
A grumble rose in her throat, angry at Jaden for apparently abandoning her sister. It didn't matter though, the cubs would be a better addition to the clan than that brute, perhaps. She hadn't liked him from the get-go, even though Cass and Aisha had.
Welcome to the Kames, her voice whispered finally. Little songs, little paws, may you grow strong in our family and bring joy to us. She lifted her eyes then, to look at her pale counterpart. Soon the cubs would be up and running, all but energy in the form of exploration and play.

There was a zeal to her springy step, a purposeful air about her, though her deed had been done, and indeed she had worked diligently at Luma’s side, helping her to create the den for her pups. She felt altogether whole and accomplished. Not that in her helping she was any better than anyone else, or any more important than any other task. It was wholly the fact that this had been her first purpose here in her new home, and so now she felt truly a part of the whole. She knew that this had been only the first of many steps in the direction of comradery between her and her new pack mates. And with her dreams of the future and her general unknowing of the landscape she had managed to follow the varying members’ scents in a few circles embarrassingly, as she crossed the landscape between the den site and where the pack had brought down their prey. When she arrived at the kill, all had already gone on to the den site she supposed, for the paw prints and scents led back in the direction she had come. Inwardly she chuckled at the situation she found herself in, turning circles after the pack, but there was nothing to be done about it save for enjoy the beauty of the day and satisfy the growling of her stomach. There was still much meat left upon the skeleton and so hungrily she fed, tearing chunk after chunk away from the kill until her stomach had been sedated. She had been solitary in her feast, with none but the birds to watch her, and the sound of the tranquil breeze through the trees as they swayed around her. A slight yawn left her maw, for the meat lulled her into a slumbering state. But she shook it aside after a bit of a stretch, realigning those muscles that had worked fervently on this day. She realized it was likely the rest of the pack had brought the mothers portions of meat already, but abundance could not hurt, and so she tore off a generous amount of tenderloin that would be easily carried and followed the path the others had taken. Following a slightly different path then she had originally trekked, she happened upon Aisha’s den before Luma’s. She could scent the new life stirring within the den but did not approach it directly. Instead a light “woof” is given in greeting. “Hello my friend and congratulations!”
