Bright blue hued eyes peered to the cascading hues of a falling sun, with the Ravilin forest edge at his back he slowly made his way down into the meadows. Heavy paws crushing the snow underneath creating a almost uniform path on the ground. He stood in stark contrast to his surroundings being a deep black in color with speckling of silver in his fur. In no way was there a pattern to the colors but it afforded him a unique advantage when he hunted at night with the silver breaking a common pattern and obscuring his form from would-be prey.
He was for lack of a better term, huge, standing at a height from paw to shoulder above most others of his kind. With a powerfully built form and and undeniable sleekness in his movements. It was more than clear from the predatory way he waltzed about the Meadows that he was in no way, shape, or form attached to a pack and was quite simple a lone wolf. As cliche as that sounded, he had his reasons. He detested packs, and even more he hated the cowards that would hide behind them.
Perhaps things would change, it wasn't likely but things always have that chance. Cape Jupo looked to his rear seeing he was a good distance from the forest then settled his vision back to his front. With a burst of movement and a puff of snow rising from his back legs he kicked forward, surging through the meadows and weaving back and forth through the rocky outcroppings becoming almost as a black streak as his legs worked in harmony to push him forward in a sprint along the open land.
He wasn't doing this for any particular reason other than him simply wanting to run. His nose picking up on hundreds of smells around him, from rabbits burrowed underneath the rocks and snow to the clean smell of the freshly fallen snow. The telltale smells of atmosphere as it signaled that it might snow again with the encroaching grey clouds lurking on the horizon waiting for the sun to finally sink beneath the crest and return the world to darkness.
Puffs of steam in the cold escaped his mouth with each purposeful push of his legs through the snow. He truly loved this time of year with the cold around and so many sensations that made him feel as if he were alive. He slowed to a steady trot making his way to a large outcropping of rocks where he settled in and lie beside one sticking his muzzle into the snow beneath him and taking some of it into his mouth to let it melt and thus give him a quick drink.
As it stood he was not at all concerned with his surroundings at least not to the point where he would remain on constant guard. Never the less he was attuning himself to the noises of the meadow which for the most part were hushed by the thick blanket of white. The only sounds were that of the various night birds from the forest looking to possibly come over the meadow and ferret out the occasional mouse or small rabbit in their quest for sustenance.
Cape Jupo lie there in his solitude, not having felt such peace with himself in a long time. He was getting hungry but he felt it would be best to wait until the sun fully sank to hunt his food down. Now they would still be awake and likely looking for something to come their way. Instead he simply listened to the sounds of the encroaching night.

So far, the island was rather deserted. Perfect for being manipulated by a few over zealous wolves looking for fun. He knew not what direction to go, and merely picked one and began running.
His lope was odd. His paws dragged against the snow, casting white sparkles all over himself. Tongue was flying out of his mouth, as though trying to catch the snow falling behind him. It wasn't that he was crazy, no, no. It was that running bored him so much that he needed to do something to keep himself occupied. What better way than to scatter the peace on the ground and then snatch it out of the air in his waiting maws?
Wait. He stopped almost instantly, causing his body to lurch forward and almost slip in the snow. He smelled another wolf, a brute. Ah, what fun! Judas skipped in the direction he sensed the other, eyes searching curiously. Thankfully, the other was generously smothered in black; just how he liked them in the winter. As wanting as he was, Judas' paws were frozen to the spot. Instead, his brown orbs absorbed the movements of the other. Watching. Waiting to be noticed.

As Cape Jupo lie there he heard vaguely over the otherwise quiet meadow the sound of ambling paws through the snow. His attention turned to the direction of the noise. While he no doubt was spotted, he was lucky in the fact that he was lying down and not actually up and in movement. It gave him something of a slight advantage in the fact that whomever this interloper was, they would not know how large he was.
He stood finally acting as if he was unawares of the presence of this other wolf, and started to walk around the back side of the rocky outcrop. Almost playing off his ignorance of this other one perfectly and paying him no attention what-so-ever. Cape basically scrubbed the presence of Judas as being something he wouldn't care about anyway. Or at least thats what the outward appearance had been.
Cape Jupo settled himself in on the back side of the rock listening to see if this other would come towards where he was to investigate his presence. His ears twitching slightly so as to try to pick up even the slightest sounds nearby and his nose tipping gently into the downwind. It was a good thing that though the breeze was slight it was blowing from Judas towards him, so in effect his presence was for the most part masked.

Judas pouted as his paws moved on their own, instinctively following his prey. He gained speed, flicking the ice crystals over his gray, bronze, and ebony form again as he ran forward as far as he could until he'd run past the outcrop.
Orbs caught the obvious figure out of the corner of them, and, just as abruptly as before, he stopped again. His neck craned around the rest of his body, peeking over his marbled shoulder. Why do you run, strange thing? Judas' crania tilted, something it seemed it ought not be able to do with the position his neck was in. His tail flagged almost playfully; his gaze narrowed. You shouldn't run--it implies a chase... you know what that means at this time of year, don't you...? Free me, pray to the faith, in the face of the light; feed me, fill me with sin, and get ready to fight. Cape Jupo seemed unimpressed as he looked over this other wolf. He rousted from his sitting position bearing his full height and size. Blue eyes peering at this oddball. "If I had wanted a meal you'd be dead by now." He was not playful... he wasn't even acting like it to lull Judas into a false sense of security. Plain and simple Cape Jupo laid it out there for this other wolf. It wasn't a challenge, it wasn't posturing. It simply was a statement.
He started to turn from Judas almost as if he were dismissing him, and started towards another nearby outcropping with the intent of digging up some hapless bunny in which to satiate his hunger. Nothing in his actions or movements showed that he would fight this other wolf but everything in his mass and stature said he'd be more than happy to. He paused for a moment and turned back sizing Judas up again. "You should know better than stalk something you aren't sure of." With that Cape turned back once more to head to the rocks sniffing at the snow for that tell tale smell of a rabbits burrow.

He was so funny! Stalk something he wasn't sure of? Judas laughed audibly behind the shadow. He shook his head as he paws led him forward yet again, not towards the larger brute but keeping himself parallel. He put his head closer to the ground, his eyes still trained on the other. You seem so sure of yourself, yet I don't see you stalking yourself. Are you Unsure? Maybe that's what he'd call this one in his head. It was a funny thing to be called, but this whole situation was different to him. His brother wasn't around to keep him in check, and so he let his mind run free with possibilities.
He sat down, certain the other wolf wouldn't bother attempting a chase this far away. He would get the head start and therefore outrun him. Judas' eyes followed the dark male, watching the snow. So, he was hunting currently? Ah, was that why he was running away? He almost presumed something very sorely different from that, but it was of no matter now. Unsure was focusing, and Judas wasn't going to break that focus... yet. Free me, pray to the faith, in the face of the light; feed me, fill me with sin, and get ready to fight. Cape Jupo stopped sniffing at the ground finding the scent he was looking for. He then shoved his massive head into the snow, seemingly deeper than what should allow. A muffled snap of jaws and then a popping noise slid out from the snow, shortly thereafter he pulled a fat hare from the hole with its neck cleanly broken.
The large wolf dropped the hare to the snowy ground then more or less stomped on it with his front paw pinning the already dead animal to the ground. Taking a firm grip on it with his canines and tore the hapless bunny in two. Tossing the bit he ripped off into the air and catching it in his jaws. The other half of the bunny still pinned under paw.
Blue eyes kept a steady watch on Judas no real concern for him but never the less. Food tended to make some loose their grip on what they should do. If there was anything to be said about Cape Jupo it was that he by no means was "unsure".

He lay himself onto the snow, content to watch this black brute fish for rabbits. By now he had figured he would catch something for himself to eat to demonstrate himself. The marbled wolf himseslf was content in terms of hunger. A snack wouldn't have been bad, but it was not necessary at this point.
So, why isn't a beast like you ruling one of the petty lands? It was a straightforward question, surprising the usually unorderly brute. Certainly someone would willingly follow such a wolf... not like his delusional self. Free me, pray to the faith, in the face of the light; feed me, fill me with sin, and get ready to fight. His paw lifted off of the mangled rest of the bunny as he took it in jaw and again flipped the bit into the air and caught it in his teeth chewing on it while he considered how best to answer the question that was posed to him. Soon the little animal was swallowed and a pink tongue licked at chops with a sharp pop and his jaws snapped shut. Cape Jupo then moved a bit off to the side of the mess.
The sharp stink of copper from the rabbits blood hung thick in the breeze and it didn't in the least bit seem to bother the large wolf. He lie in the snow looking over Judas as if in thought to the question. I don't hold a pack because they are weak. They allow for the weak to thrive on the backs of the strong, without need or want to get stronger. It was clear he was not fond of the concept of relying on anyone else for his well being much less supporting others who wouldn't defend themselves.
I would sooner kill the alphas than submit, and simply abandon their followers to make the strong of the packs survive on their own accord. Cape Jupo again shoved his muzzle into the snow and took a mouthful of snow, letting it melt and swallowing down the cold water.

He outright laughed, not at this brute beside him, but at the thought that they could possibly come to the same conclusion. If only I had your size! What you have just said is a conquest only few can make. Judas rumbled, maw curling up to bear his teeth. They will never learn their weakness, for weakness is the greatest sin and sin seems to hide so well in this world of ours... Judas' key trait revealed itself on his face. That serpentine smile of his seemed to threaten to wrap around his entire head, let alone consume all of his face.Free me, pray to the faith, in the face of the light; feed me, fill me with sin, and get ready to fight. Cape snapped instantly at the bearing of teeth and obvious lack of sanity with the other odd wolf. A sharp snap of jaws and a low guttural growl as if in warning. You would do best to curb your enthusiasm. You assume I would help you? I do not seek to find them and destroy them. Only if I should be approached will I react to the cowards. He regained his composure a bit and stood once more walking around the other wolf.
And whats to say that were I to hunt them out. Would that not make us a pack in essence? This is not a thing I wish to have nor do I wish to partake in. Cowardice is rampant, and these "sins" you speak of have no bearing on me or how I choose to live. He was obviously not sure exactly what to think of this oddball of a companion he had at the moment. But it was clear that he wouldn't for a moment stand down to him. Cape stood there waiting the response and more or less expecting that Judas would try his patience with whatever retort he might muster.

Any other wolf would have cowered, maybe even ran away. But those without sanity have no safeguard to protect against carelessness. We do not need assistance with what it is we plan to do. We are merely but a convoy searching out the land. And it was by chance that he had happened upon this stranger of strangers.
The smile stook, refusing to move. Murky eyes boiled with unknown emotions, as though Judas were witnessing a dream before his eyes. And these "choices" you speak of have no bearing on us and how we live to die. Orbs glazed for but a moment before it appeared he snapped out of his trance. His head tilted to the side, auds awaiting a voice to touch them. Free me, pray to the faith, in the face of the light; feed me, fill me with sin, and get ready to fight.
