Note!: Please only Cassiel until the business is settled. R a e l i k It's a slow fade when you give yourself away… It's a slow fade, when black and white have turned to gray…The ruddy brown brute, his black now tainted with a bit of red, arrived at the more southern edge of the mountains. He knew from looking at them as he ran that if he had gone north he would have had to climb over other mountains, and he was unsure if he was capable of that in his current state. He had circled down around the lake, taking time to take a drink and attempt to groom himself. He would not look terribly bad, but if this pack was a group based on vanity, he was certain to be denied. Please, father. I hope you are right...
Even so, he was too tired from making sure his escape was solid to give a signal that he was here. If he was attacked again, he would fight his last fight. This was his last beacon of hope. Will they take an injured male? Raelik's hopes fell. If they did not, they knew not what they were missing out on. He was quite capable, just not able to do too much until his new scar arrived.
The last encounter still vivid in his mind, he sat down. Ears were erect, tail curled around him. As he gathered a breath, he let out what howl he could. Please, alpha, come to me. I mean you no harm. I was told I might find quarter here by someone you may know. His wavering voice faded fast as he took a quick breath. He had lost a little more blood than he thought he would have on the journey over. He was tired. This would be the end of his road, or a bridge into a new world.
He only hoped there wasn't any of the other brute's fur still stuck in his maw.

Cassiel trotted briskly back toward the borders from his clan with his eyes sharply scanning the horizon. He kept thinking over the hunt, and he couldn't get the image of his daughter out of his mind. He had always known Basile looked like Epitaph, but Cass hadn't seen Beryl since she was little and still gangly - now she was growing up, and fast. The white wolf shook his head, deciding to put the thoughts behind him until after the loner was dealt with.
As he approached the markers, though, the alpha began to hesitate. He scented blood. With more cautious steps, he padded along at a slower pace until he came into view of the stranger. He paused momentarily, watching the brute from a distance for a moment to make initial judgments. The loner was wounded, and it seemed like the gashes were from a recent fight. Cass started forward again, this time coming straight up to the edge of his territory. His hackles bristled and tassel lifted; the wolf's ears pricked forward aggressively.
The scent of blood and... Ravilin is on your pelt. I am leader in these lands. Who are you, and what name do you have to give me? Cass had to admit he was curious as to who this wolf that was such an important link as to come to the mountains following another's words. Yet he would remain distanced until the other told him more information.Bad post, sorry, muse was trying to fall asleep but I couldn't make you wait any longer

R a e l i k It's a slow fade when you give yourself away… It's a slow fade, when black and white have turned to gray…Raelik sighed, releasing tension, as who he assumed Cassiel to be approached. It matched the description his father had given him, and he knew he was in the right place.
The younger brute nodded as he saw what Cassiel's eyes conveyed. He could still smell the stench of that senile wolf as well. It probably would not leave him for some time, but he wasn't complaining. It had happened before, when so many other scents had mixed with his unintentionally.
I am Raelik, son of Revolver. He knew not what emotion that would draw from the alpha, he only hoped it was a favorable one. My father had told me in his last few moments to run here to freedom, and to also offer myself as a repayment for him going missing. There are nomads in the south that have a very different culture than you do. They had captured my father and forced him to hunt for them. He thought he might be able to escape here, but it did not end that way. His speckled eyes lowered to the ground, auds drooping.
The blood comes from an old brute from the Ravilin. I had edged the borders in curiosity, and he charged me. I managed to gouge his neck while he got my shoulder. Raelik nodded back to the wound. It smells like there is only a female there, and that is incredibly odd for what I am used to, so I had hoped for some answers but got teeth instead. Raelik hoped it did not look too bad that Cassiel would judge him obsolete.
If I do not find enough favor in your sight to be accepted, I would bid you to kill me. His eyes readjusted themselves on Cassiel's. They will kill me anyway should they find me.Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid… People never crumble in a day… It's all good, Kaz.<3

Cassiel felt himself draw back at the mention of Revolver's name, for it was another connection to Epitaph - at least in his mind. How long had it been since the handsome gray and black wolf had gone missing? Cass could barely add the seasons up, for he was remembering another wolf that he had last seen disappear over the ridges at Revolver's side. Donagh. And Revolver was dead, killed by some strange clan of wolves in the south. Did that mean his dark colored son, too, was gone or taken away from the mountains for good?
The alpha's eyes darkened, but it wasn't in anger at the young male before him. There was no doubt in his mind about the loner's acceptance, for even injured he would make another good addition to the clan. More males were always welcome... Cass had faith in his Basile's ability to keep them in check under their bloodline, for Cass himself demanded respect. His voice was hardened when he spoke. You are welcomed here, Raelik. Revolver's son would not be turned down, for he was a good wolf when he served in our ranks. The brute stepped forward and delivered a quick snap to the newcomer's muzzle, not drawing blood but pinching the skin on Raelik's snout. I am you're leader, and you will accept that or you will be chased away from our clan.
He stepped back again, thinking over the strange circumstances which had brought the young male to his border. If he guessed right, Raelik was actually older than he should be... Revolver had gone missing only a scant six or seven seasons before. That would mean, assuming Cass had placed an accurate age on the young male, that Revolver had mated before he had vanished. The brute's lip curled at the corners, remembering Duskai and Luma, and their son. Regardless, it wasn't the cub's fault. Raelik would be welcomed, for now.
Cassiel turned away from the borders, and although he held his shoulders straight and high, his head drooped lower than it had in days before. Come, meet your pack mates. Luma at least, I think, will be interested in meeting you. He didn't glanced back; he only kept walking, his pace steady and even, back toward his family.

R a e l i k It's a slow fade when you give yourself away… It's a slow fade, when black and white have turned to gray…Raelik was thankful for his luck as Cassiel accepted him. He was safe. There was no way he'd be dragged back into that unruly life of servitude. Relief almost completely overtook him until Cassiel came to nip at him. Raelik's blackened ears folded backwards at the sudden prick of pain and his eyes closed, but he issued no retort. He knew this was how it was to be. He followed as he was told, keeping himself lower in body language than his new leader before him. Secretly he stared at the white one, comparing him to his old alpha.Thoughts invade, choices are made, a price will be paid… People never crumble in a day…
