Isn't he though? I worked him with his previous owner today, lunging him for the first time (that I've lunged, that is) without a lunge line... and OH MY GOODNESS he was so pretty to watch running around us! Tail up and flying, hair streaming back! It was amazing

He's 12 years old, and we have land in the family technically but it's further away than I'd like. It worked out that across the street from the entrance to my neighborhood there's this field, which on the other side has a barn, riding arena, etc that was just put out there in the past two years. I've been driving by oooogling at the horses for months, but I finally stopped and went to ask if they would board one for me. Turns out we knew the owners from my church already and they gave me a really really good boarding price provided I feed the horses 2 days a week. I get to see Windsong several times a day, everyday! It's really a blessing.

The expected age they live to is 22, although it's not uncommon for them to live to be in their late 20's. I met an appaloosa a few weeks ago that was 39 years old!
