Larka felt that her clan had been given enough time to wander, that it was time for them to come together and stay together. they had to curb their wandering ways, it was not healthy. Moving into a stiff sitting position, she leaned some of her weight against Atka, knowing that he would support her. Realizing this made a warmth spread through her bodice that had been dormant for so very long...
Tilting her crania to the heavans, she let loose a loud, powerful howl that could be heard anywhere within her realm-even over the crashing of waves.
Come, my family. We cannot wander so disjointed. We must be a pack, a clan, a family.
We must be as one.

At the deep, beautiful howl of Larka, Ember's ears perked up and she became fully alert. She left the stick she'd been toying with and gnawing on and sat up straight to listen. As she listened to the call of the alpha, a tremble ran through her body, urging her to sing as well. Instinct raised her head and filled her lungs with air. Since she was still young, Ember's own howl was high and weak. But she put all of her spirit into it regardless, voicing her desire to be part of a pack as well.

Polaris too felt the urge to howl her young heart out. Tilting her crania towards the heavans she harmonized-or at least tried to- with Ember's howl. the two younglings sounded like squealing piglets compared to Larka's beautiful voice, but at least they were trying.

Cloud's voice called back to her leader and the cubs, sweet and soft because of the distance between them. Larka, I come. There is something that needs checking, wolf-blood scent, first though. If you would have me leave it, call for me.

The sound of the young alpha’s song was a beautiful harmony that filtered towards the waning sky in crystal clarity. And as the pallid wolf stood steady, all four feet firmly planted into the firm foliage to support her weight, he watched her, knowing that somewhere deep inside of her was the leader she longed to be. The strength was there, and so was the heart, she had what she needed to prevail her own mental battles. Only time though... only time would tell the tales whispered upon the wind. A gentle nudge is given to the feathered fur of the alabaster wolfess as if calm the nerves he knew plagued her, and to assure her if that indeed was what she needed. As if to further support her effort, the two young pups aside them lifted their untrained vocals to the sky, calling to their family and their friends. The skies begged for his deep baritone as well, and he found his jaws unhinged with renewed eagerness to sing unto his new home but something held his voice within his throat. A call had come back to them, and if he was not mistaken, it was the female wolf who had left while angered by Larka’s words. The tone was pained and though immediate threat was not apparent, one could not be too careful. The second call was of another, seemingly of their clan who wished to help. His eyes sought Larka’s immediately in search of her will, yet words were already flowing forth.
“Larka… perhaps we should go to her, aid her in whatever way we can if only for company’s sake. If you think you can make the journey.”
He was sure she likely shared the company of the male who had left with her but that did not mean the support of her pack would not be appreciated... or would it? He could not know.

Larka listened intently to the faint calls that answered her, and her golden orbs were grim. Zena...A heaving sigh escaped her chest as she listened to Atka's words, willing herself to have the strength to move. Shakily, she stood and limped heavily forward a few steps, but determination and an unshakable stubborness kept her upright. I will try my best to make it to them. the beach is not very far...for a running wolf.
Come, Polaris, Ember, Kesh. I cannot leave you here alone.Larka moved stiffly forward, each step an agony of stiffness, but she willed herself on, hoping that Atka would help her, so that she might reach Zena and Cloud sooner. A low, but permeating howl was given, letting them know that she was coming as fast as her injured limbs would carry her. I am coming...do not worry...

Her grim eyes mirrored his own as they beheld her shaky limbs, and quickly after having let her stand on her own for those few passing moments, as if to show her she could indeed do it on her own, he stepped to her side briskly. His robust architecture outweighed her own limber bodice considerably, and it did not hinder his step for her to lean upon him if she needed. He would be there for her; she need only lend him her dependence if she would allow it.
“Do not worry ... I am here, and I will help you. We can make it together, you me and the pups.”
He truly hoped Zenna was not terribly wounded, and knew too that the caravan was a risky one. But with two injured wolves the support of the pack was needed, for certainly they could all care for the injured better as a group then fragmented. Perhaps their bonds could grow as well as forgiveness in these trying times. One could only hope. Until then he remained quiet, keeping a stray eye lingering upon the pups while the other gauged Larka’s stride so that they could move as one.

Larka kept a grim determination in her orbs, but her muzzle did flicker into a smile occasionally as she would stumble and Atka would be there to steady her bodice. Advancing as fast as her hobbling hind limbs could carry her, with some of her weight alleviated by Atka, they made better time than she could have hoped. Only a few hours passed before she started to smell the sharp tang of salt in the air. Unlike Zena's injury, the walk seemed to be helping Larka's limbs somewhat, as they relaxed and flexed, allowing much needed blood to flow.

Ember followed close behind the two adults, trusting in their guidance but also keeping as alert as a young pup could. With less than a day spent with her new pack, the she-pup remained a bit skittish and tense as she and the other pups were lead on into territory still unfamiliar to her. She sought comfort from the other two pups by padding along close to them. Sometimes, to both hide and alleviate her own tension, Ember would make a playful snap at a nearby tail or ear.
The pace the adults set wasn't vigorous. But still malnourished, Ember had begun to tire long before the scent of salt alighted her little, black nose. Her muzzle drooped closer to the ground with each passing hour. But not a whine would she utter yet, for she was too grateful to be with a group at all to complain.

Polaris stuck close by Ember's side, having become fast friends with the other female. She would return the nips and bites, while her own bodice pranced around excitedly. She had never seen the ocean.
