Larka rumbled a particularly warm greeting to the dark wolf dubbed Surulian. She wanted him to feel accepted, welcomed within her territory. As Atka finally arrived her orbs melted into liquid gold at the mere sight of his strong comforting presence. Touching him tenderly with her muzzle to the underside of his nape she rumbled sweet nothings before gazing around at her gathered clan mates, deciding that she had waited long enough. She stood tall and proud beside her mate, her confidence boosted by his closeness. My Clan mates, no matter how new your are to these forests I consider you my family. I value your presence here with me above my very own life. I will bear young late this season, and with new life comes new beginnings, change for the better. She paused then to look at each wolf that surrounded her, pride filling her heart till it nearly burst. My family...I want you to embrace this wolf that stands beside me. for he is your new Alpha alongside me. Atka has a strong heart, together we will lead you, our beloved clan into a brighter future. No longer will we be the splintered loner-like forest wolves of past years. We must strive to be a united front against the challenges that face us. we must behave like a true family unit would. If you have an opinion about what I have just stated to you, I would like to hear your voice. This is as much your pack as it is mine. She said this last with affection as she gazed around at her beloved family. She did not want them to hide their grievances for fear of retaliation.

Cloud turned to greet Surulian when he entered the clearing after them. Her eyes traced his dark features, and she smiled when she he happened to look her way. She didn't understand what made his paws so very heavy as he traveled through life, but the white fem was determined to add a small burst of sunshine every time he looked her way. Until she had solved his mystery, though, she would be his steadfast friend - just like Lorkan.
Atka's appearance and Larka's words brought the bright blue eyes back around to the white alpha pair, and the fem laughed internally at the coincidence of the amount of white wolves in the pack. She herself couldn't point ears and mock, but she could at least chuckle in appreciation of the comic situation.
She nodded her dainty head once Larka had finished speaking, but Cloud had nothing to add. She was perfectly content in the forest pack, and she doubted much would ever be able to change her mind. The fem was immensely glad she'd chosen the woodlands, and as she looked around she realized that she had indeed come to know these wolves present fairly well.
S A R V A R N I Sarvarni looked away from Lorkan and the others, back to Larka, when the leader began to speak. She seemed sincere in her efforts to make the pack stronger, a more unified group that would stand together through the difficulties that life brings. It was good in theory, and he hoped for her sake and the clan's that it worked just as well in fact. He did wonder, though, why Carrick hadn't shown. Wasn't the old brute a member of the pack still? No one seemed to be asking questions, and in fact, all the others appeared perfectly at ease. Where there others missing, too, besides his father? Did the clan care, or had they decided that since the potential others hadn't come, then the potential others either were gone or didn't care? So many thoughts, such a curious brute, but Sarvarni didn't question Larka. Things would work out as they would, and he understood that well. Regardless, he find some answers soon, but it wouldn't be now - not in front of his new pack mates.

Zena watched as Atka was formally announced as Larka's mate. She looked over the white brute, trying to gauge his emotions. She knew he would probably be somewhat nervous, but he seemed to keep it from his face. She nodded her silent approval. She looked to Larka's obvious pregnant belly and could not help but let out a chuckle. What's another two or three white wolves to the Ravilin clan? She waved her banner happily, knowing everyone was well aware of the funny situation. Zena glanced to the sky, silently shaking her head. The Maker must be a fan of irony. She thought, smiling wryly. To lead her from a white pelt orientated clan to one full of white wolves. Zena hoped Larka had finally found her mate, and she felt herself longing for a family of her own. She suppressed a whine, and glanced off through the trees. Her golden orbs held one word: Carrick. The longing in her orbs was extreme, and she just wished to have the familiar warmth by her side.

Atka’s soft cerulean eyes beheld the wolves who now surrounded him. In each of them he saw both strengths and weaknesses, personality and intricate unknowns. Was this not what each and everyone one of them possessed? No matter what position they held within the clan? Atka had been raised to perceive each member of a pack as his equal, each playing his or her role to enrich the clan. And the white wolf truly believed this, and hoped that none would ever think his position caused him to think better of himself. What he truly hoped in fact… was to be accepted by these wolves, wolves who had only known him for a very short amount of time, as their brother, as their friend, and then as their leader. And he would seek to earn the respect that alphaship demanded. Softly he chuckled at Zena's words, recognizing the humor that lay in the truths of Ravilin Forest. Perhaps this place would come to be known as the haunted forest... for all the wolves seemed a ghostly hue, haunting the woodland paths. Without hesitation he stepped forward upon the cue of Larka’s words. His posture strong and confident. His face melded into one of seriousness then, his voice unwavering.
“I consider all of you my family, and this forest, my home, I will defend it and you until my very last breath, of this I promise.”
Place a name upon the night, one to set your heart alight and to make the darkness bright Paint the sky with stars

Cloud couldn't help but smile to Atka, too, for his words rang with sincerity, and she knew he would be a well suited father to the cubs Larka would bare. The dainty wolf stood and intended to approach him to rub scents as she had with the others, earlier, but then a song came out of the forest from a distance. It spoke in feminine tones of a new arrival, a loner, seeking others.
Maybe their clan was growing again, stronger, because the Maker finally felt that the pack was in a position to receive it. Cloud issued a soft whine and looked to Surulian and Lorkan. Her eyes then came back to Larka, asking, Can we go to the markers, my lady? I would like to meet this singer on the breeze.

she nodded at Cloud, and the weight of the life in her belly suddenly seemed heavier than it ever had. Cloud Lorkan and Surulian will go meet the loner. The rest of you, will hunt, with Zena leading. The pups will be here soon and I fear that I am not fit enough to hunt any longer.A wry smile graced her muzzle as she rose and called out a hunt song, clear and proud, to boost their morale and wish them luck. Kira nodded her crania and rose, eager to hunt with Zena, Sarvarni, and possibly Atka. Her cerulean orbs sought out her companions before she joined her mother in the hunt song, sending shivers of anticipation down her spine. Lorkan rose without hesitation adding his voice to that of his mother and sister. Touching his muzzle to his mothers nape in a gentle carress he moved to breifly lick the underside of Atka's jaw, submitting to him. Moving to stand beside Cloud and Surulian he beamed with pride. He had never gotten to deal with a loner before.
