Cloud nodded to Larka, feeling the atmosphere once again tense up as Rhys spoke. She would follow after Lorkan, not for this Faris or the other young wolf, but for Lorkan's sake. Her white muzzle touched the brute's shoulder, comforting, and then she glanced around. Rhys seemed to be willing to lead them, but who else would go?

Atka A T K A
His world began to spiral into opposing hemispheres, a downward spiral of hope and fear, of joy and of uncertainness. The stunning image of Larka as she beheld him with those eyes... eyes that could capture the soul, had left him without breath and without comprehendable thought. He had not expected such sensations... yet he rode the wave they created triumphantly, with a zeal he had never before known. Atka had never had the company of a mate, nor the experience of a relationship. Love had never found it’s sinewy fingers brandishing his heart. And yet this feeling, this emotion that welled about this pallid female was incredible. He countered such thoughts with the sensible side of his mind, speaking on how very short their interactions had been such far. Surely he was but a newcomer to her land… a newcomer to their world. But she was a shimmering luminosity amongst the shadows he had been chased by when leaving his homeland. She was a breath of fresh air, a fragrant blossom to be cherished… and how he wished to cherish her.
But things were spiraling around them, and when only moments prior he was reaching for her… brushing his muzzle along her shoulder as she sat beside him... and then their world became a frenzy. In a jumble of words and emotion it became apparent that Larka’s mate and son were possibly trapped somewhere within the abyss, perhaps awaiting a rescue that would surely come. The determination radiated from within the young Lorkans eyes, as well it should. Would he not fight for such love? Of course the situation was an awkward one. He could not help but steal his gaze towards Larka, attempting to read her expression. She they go after them? Of course... no pack member should ever be left behind. And if it fell upon him to uphold that, he would hide away his heart and do what it was his loyalty required. But he could not help but feel that... pang. The pang of... of … something. His body shifted, bringing himself closer to Larka, his warm tongue outstretched to lap at her muzzle almost coyly amongst the chaos. There was playfulness dancing in his eyes, and a deep set desire that told not only of his heart, but the longing of the season.

As she waited tensly for Rhys to lead some of her packmates away, she relaxed slightly, knowing that his was an old soul, and that even though he was a particularly aloof member, that his loyalties were with the forest. Amidst her troubled thoughts she was startled into reality by the shocking warmth of Atka as he moved closer to her, his tongue gently carressing her muzzle in what she saw as a bold declaration of affection. Her bright golden orbs blazed with a smouldering fire that wanted to be one with the icy blue of his own orbs. The world as she saw it threatened to fall away, leaving only the thick furred white wolf whose song sang the same soul wrenching notes as her own. Yes it was true that she missed Faris, and that he had given her pups, but she was used to that now-having fatherless children that she was banking all of her hope on Atka to be the steadfast mate that she so desperately needed to rebuild her own shattered self confidence. Atka, dearest Atka. My heart is soaring, my head is swimming. What is this that we have felt in so short a time? She felt as if she were drowning in the beautiful blue of his orbs, being engulfed by the plush whiteness of his long coat...and she never wanted it to end. She didnt want the sorrow and bitterness to ever return. She wanted the fire in her belly and the lightness in her heart to remain. Leaning into him she let a soft sigh escape her muzzle and she tucked her crania into the groove between his chin and neck, where his fur was thickest and softest. Atka...Am I dreaming?

I’m the warrior of life, I know the reaper by name. Adrenaline began to mobilize in the young brute's veins as he was given the okay to search for his leader. He turned back towards the direction he'd come from, willing his legs to make the journey again. Anyone that's coming, just follow me. We have some distance to cover. His mission was to obtain the two wolves and return back as quickly as possible so that Larka would not need to worry. But, by what he had seen, he didn't imagine she would be worrying all that much.
Faris... I'm coming. Rhys picked up his pillars quicker, a black dot streaking across the snow. He was easily seen in the distance, but if they heisitated too long they might lose his midnight form to the white. My blood's running cold; I see pain wherever I go…

Lorkan immediately followed Rhys, hesitating only breifly to touch his mother's flank before he caught up to Rhys, looking behind him for Cloud.
Do you know how many day's journey it is? How long ago did you leave them?
His bright eyes burned with determined strength, he would not stop until he found them.

The pale wolf immediately set out after Rhys, feeling strange at following a stranger. Her ears were laced back against her head as she ran, keeping the chill and the wind from whistling into their depths, perhaps making her miss something in her surroundings. She wondered where the brute, Lorkan's father, had fallen... and wondered whether or not the land was more treacherous than she had previously imagined. Surely there was nothing else dangerous in this beautiful place.
In response, the mist from the east, off the ocean, seemed to swirl inland, blanketing the cold forest in a wintery dreamscape. Cloud ran on regardless, keeping the black wolf always in sight and Lorkan near her side.

Atka A T K A
His heartbeat was a perpetual rhythm that resounded against the soft pressure of Larka as she pressed against his chest. The hymn spoke of nervousness and excitement, of fluttering hopes and abundant dreams. She had responded so kindly to his affections, returning them eagerly, and he could have asked of nothing more in those sparse moments that would pave the way for so many more. His chest rumbled with an affectionate drawl as his tail waved from side to side, every fiber of every nerve set ablaze with intensity. His gaze rose, observing the pack around them as some readied to leave upon their mission. He hoped their brave eyes did not return full of sorrow and defeat. He found himself wishing for their safety and swift return. Though perhaps selfishly so, he hoped that there would be a few moments to spend with Larka alone, for at the moment their mere proximity had his senses alight with fire.
Shifting so that his gaze could settle into hers, drawing those glistening eyes into his own, he sought for what strength she had. He pondered upon the strength of her limbs and the pain that may still radiate there. He wished to deliver her from the pains of the world, even the bruised and tender reflections of her inner self as they loomed below the surface. Softly a whine rumbled up from his abdomen, it was an encouraging tune that caused a playful reaction within his large alabaster body. Suddenly he play bowed, eyes affixed to her, ears erect against the wind. A gingerly nip is given as he bounded forward a foot or so, teeth grazing the edge of one of her ears. She filled him with a youthful energy he could not fully comprehend, hut she made him feel alive, and he wished to show her... experience her…

Larka was startled from her warm nestling by his sudden youthful bow-which teased forth a beautiful radiant smile upon her elegantly weary muzzle. A short yip escaped her as he nipped at her auds, her own muzzle reaching to catch his auds within her jaws in a gentle playful carress. Shakily she rose to her limbs, and found that she could stand, although she was a bit unsteady. Returning his playbow wholeheartedly, the adrenaline that coarsed through her system at his responses allowed her to nearly prance around him, her muzzle darting forth to nip gently here, or to nuzzle longingly into his thick fur as she circled him, her golden orbs alight with a merriment and youth that she had never known. If she ran from him in the age old lover's dance, would he persue her? Claim her as his mate and take up the mantle of Alphahood alongside her? Her voice was velvet smooth, coy and thick with emotion Do you have what it takes to capture my heart? As her words faded, so too did her presence- she would make him work for it, for uf he truly wanted it he would persue her. She knew she was rushing into things but she didn't care, she felt that if she didnt act now he would vanish like the others...
